Chicago will be live this weekend thanks to the 2015 NFL Draft. It’s been 51 years since it was last held here and it’ll take place at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. The Draft kicks off tonight at 7pm with round 1. Rounds 2-3 will be held Friday May 1st and 4-7 on Sunday, May 2nd. Besides having an opportunity to go to a live NFL Draft with many promising prospects on the bill, football fanatics will be able to experience an outdoor fan festival located in Grant Park and Congress Plaza. Even thought big names like Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston won’t be in attendance, there’s a lot more to look forward to with so much to do in Draft Town.


No tickets are required for Draft Town and the hours of operation are:

Thursday, April 30th: 4-10 pm
Friday, May 1st: 4-10 pm
Saturday, May 2nd: 10 am-7 pm

Inside Draft Town:

The Team tents will have memorabilia and other information on each NFL team.

The Combine area  allows fans to take part in some of the same speed and strength tests done at the NFL combine (40-yard dash, vertical jump, etc.). The huge screen inside will show NFL stars running so fans can race along.

Fans can reboot with food and beverage in the tavern.

The  Super Bowl museum will include historic bears memorabilia.

The Buckingham Fountain will light up with team colors as each team selects their future stars.

Sections not shown in the map of Draft Town above include football fields for youth clinics and flag football tournaments, an additional food are featuring selections from famous Chicago chefs, and a stage where American Idol winner Phillip Phillips will be giving a free concert on May 2nd at 8pm.
