While the weekend may be over, you can still celebrate that new music is surfacing both locally and nationally. From The Weeknd’s new video to Eryn Allen Kane’s “Slipping” it’s looking like a pretty chill Monday in music. Now before you get all disappointed, chill  is just an offset to the bass heavy joints that the summer blew in. We can surely feel fall approaching as new releases are going from hype, upbeat tempos to smooth, mellow melodies that you can just vibe out too.

Now let’s get into the playlist before we slide into depression on how short Chicago’s summer was. If interested, check out our thoughts on the songs.

Eryn Allen KaneSlipping

Many of us fall into the mundane routine of Monday blues and Kane proposes a slight escape to cheer you up, or simply offer understanding in that you aren’t alone. Her soulful voice provides a perfect antidote to turn that melancholy Monday into a momentary adventure. So go ahead, press play and find a little healing.

Saint MillieBenz

Kicking it cool, Millie shows us he’s been working up a sweat this summer. On his new track Benz, he gives us some cool bars infused with relatable truths, all sandwiched between a melodic beat and some 808’s.  A perfect combination for music Monday, peep below.

Majid JordanLearn From Each Other

Our new favorite from OVO sound, Majid Jordan blessed us with a cool new song that is both smooth and hype. Yeah, weird description but you’ll listen and know exactly what we mean. Plus check out the 4th Episode of OVO Radio if you missed it.

KONASirens

Hailing from Atlanta Kona brings us some funky vibes to end our playlist on a high note. She’s cool and has a awesome voice, you will definitely want to listen to the rest of her EP after checking her out.

The Weeknd Tell Your Friends

Lastly The Weeknd dropped off a cool new visual for, the Kanye West produced track “Tell Your Friends” off his album Beauty Behind The Madness set to release August 28th. This video pretty much shows The Weeknd showing how much of a bad ass he is and he’s nothing to mess with it. Check it out.

Over and out.
